This one pretty much came out of nowhere. I thought I hadn't been playing enough electric guitar lately and threw down some guitar over a beat, liked it, threw in a little bass, some more guitar and someplace along the lines I thought, Man, I've always meant to write a song about the Valiant I drove from about 1981 to 1985, a time when I was active freelancing behind the knobs in studios (and driving a lot in situations where my car had to be reliable). Also, I always wanted to get a snippet before the break on Car Talk. It's a high bar but I think I've got a worthy contender, here...
